About

Nastasia Freeman, founder of Root & Fray, provides in-person and virtual psychotherapy to clients across Florida, California, Texas, and North Carolina. Specializing in trauma, PTSD, and attachment injuries, she supports individuals and couples in processing deep-seated wounds, repairing relationships, and reconnecting with themselves and those they care about most.

Her approach to therapy, and to life, is deeply intentional. Known for her clarity and uncompromising insight, Nastasia combines professional expertise with lived experience as a survivor of violence, guiding clients with authenticity, presence, and unwavering dedication. Clients often remark on her rare ability to be both profoundly human and direct, a blend that fosters trust, reflection, and meaningful progress.

Nastasia’s methodology bridges neuroscience with psychodynamic insight, offering clients a nuanced understanding of how trauma shapes both the brain and relationships. This integrated lens supports emotional regulation, self-compassion, and relational growth, helping clients navigate the complex interplay between neurobiological responses and personal history.

When asked what guides her work, Nastasia turns to one of her favorite quotes by C.G. Jung: “Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul.” For her, this is more than a guiding principle, it is a compass, shaping every session with presence, advocacy, and integrity.
